Privacy policy

1Information we collect

We collect three categories of information in connection with your use of the Service:

• Account information. The email address you use to register, account creation and sign-in timestamps, and any preferences you set. The Service does not collect or store passwords; authentication is handled via one-time email links.
• User Content. Any text, selections, or other information you submit within the Service in the course of completing modules, syntheses, or related features.
• Technical information. Standard server log information generated by your use of the Service, including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser and device characteristics, referring URLs, and timestamps of requests. We do not deploy third-party analytics services, advertising tags, or tracking pixels.

2How we use information

We use the information described above solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. Specifically, we use it to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your session;
• Render your User Content back to you within the Service, including any versioned artifacts you create;
• Communicate with you about your account, including sign-in links and confirmations of changes you initiate;
• Diagnose technical issues, secure the Service against abuse, and comply with applicable law.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use your User Content for advertising or marketing purposes.

3Artificial intelligence features

The Service includes features that use artificial intelligence to support your reflective writing. When you use these features, certain User Content is transmitted to Anthropic, PBC (“Anthropic”), our AI processor, for the purpose of generating a response that is displayed back to you within the Service. The scope of information transmitted is limited to what the relevant feature requires.

Anthropic processes this information in accordance with its commercial terms of service, which provide that customer inputs and outputs are not, by default, used to train Anthropic’s models. The Company has not opted into any program that would alter this default. Anthropic’s current commercial privacy terms govern its handling of any such information.

4Service providers

We engage third-party service providers to operate the Service. Each provider processes personal information only on our behalf, under contract, and only to the extent necessary to deliver its service. The categories of providers we use include:

• Cloud infrastructure and application hosting;
• Database and authentication services;
• Transactional email delivery;
• Video content delivery;
• Artificial intelligence model providers (as described in Section 3).

A current list of the specific service providers we engage is available upon written request to the contact address in Section 12. We may add, change, or remove providers from time to time. We will update this Policy where any such change materially alters how personal information is processed. We do not share your personal information with any party other than the providers described in this Section, except where required by applicable law.

5Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses a strictly necessary session cookie to maintain your authenticated state. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics scripts, fingerprinting technologies, or other tracking mechanisms.

6Data retention

We retain your User Content for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we will delete your User Content from our active production systems within thirty (30) days of receiving your request. Limited residual copies may persist in routine encrypted backups for up to ninety (90) additional days, after which they are overwritten in the ordinary course of business.

7Your rights

Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• Request a copy of your User Content in a portable, machine-readable format;
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• Request deletion of your account and the personal information associated with it.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@resetforlove.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where applicable law specifies a response window, within that window. Users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation; residents of California have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor these rights to the extent they apply.

8Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include transport encryption (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and the use of one-time email links in lieu of passwords. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or stored by the Service. In the event of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

9Children

The Service is intended for adult use only. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to register an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any individual under the age of eighteen. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

10International users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email prior to taking effect. The “Effective date” at the top of this Policy will always reflect the current version. Your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
